Sound healing is the therapeutic use of sound and music for healing. Sound healing offers the possibility of a drug free way of treating pain and illness. Sound healing is simple to use and has no side-effects.
During the workshops you will use vocal expression in the form of toning, singing, chanting and laughing, and instruments including crystal bowls, drums, gongs, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks and other instruments.
Research has shown that heart rates, arterial blood pressure, salivation, skin humidity and blood levels of stress hormones, all show a significant decrease with music therapy compared to usual pharmacological medication. It has also found that sound healing increased the body’s production of beta-endorphin, a natural painkiller.
Patients report a reduction in headache, better sleep patterns, improved memory and concentration.
